Plain-language summary
We want every visitor — including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or other assistive technology — to be able to find our services, get a quote, and contact us on this website. We build to the WCAG 2.2 Level AA standard, we test for it, and we keep working on it. If anything on this site is hard for you to use, call us at (208) 596-7757 or email amanda@unlimitedhp.com and we will help you directly and fix the issue.
Our Commitment
Unlimited Heating, Plumbing & Refrigeration is committed to providing a website that is accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of technology or ability. We believe everyone in the communities we serve — across the Palouse and the Lewiston–Clarkston Valley — should have equal access to information about our heating, cooling, plumbing, and refrigeration services, and an equal opportunity to request service, ask questions, and do business with us.
Conformance Target
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). WCAG 2.2 AA is the standard most commonly referenced for meaningful accessibility under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and our accessibility program is aligned with the ADA's goal of effective communication and equal access.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project. We treat conformance as a target we continuously test against and improve toward, rather than a static claim.
Measures We Take
To make and keep this website accessible, we:
- Use semantic HTML — proper landmarks (header, navigation, main, footer), a logical
heading hierarchy with one
h1per page, and native elements (real buttons and links) rather than ARIA workarounds. - Provide text alternatives — meaningful alternative text on informative images,
empty
altattributes on purely decorative images, and descriptive names on functional images such as our logo link. - Support full keyboard operability — every menu, form, and interactive control can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, in a logical order, with no keyboard traps, and a skip-to-content link is provided.
- Maintain visible focus indicators — you can always see which element has keyboard focus.
- Meet AA color contrast — text and interactive controls are checked against the WCAG AA contrast ratios (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text and UI components) using our brand color tokens.
- Label all forms — every input has a programmatically associated label, appropriate autocomplete attributes, and error messages conveyed in text (not color alone).
- Design responsively — the site works with screen magnification, browser zoom up to 400%, and on mobile devices, with touch targets sized for reliable use.
- Respect motion preferences — animations are reduced or disabled for visitors whose
devices signal
prefers-reduced-motion. - Test regularly — we use automated tools (such as Lighthouse and axe) plus manual keyboard and screen-reader checks as part of our development and review process, and accessibility review is built into every significant site update.
Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some parts of the website may not yet be fully accessible:
- Third-party content and embeds — content we do not control, such as embedded maps, social-media feeds, review widgets, and our financing partner's application pages, may not meet the same standard. Where a third-party feature is not accessible to you, contact us and we will provide the same information or service through an accessible channel (phone or email).
- Legacy documents and images — older photographs or documents may lack complete text alternatives; we remediate these as we find them.
If you encounter any barrier not listed here, please tell us — reports from real visitors are the fastest way for us to find and fix problems.

Review Cadence
This statement was last updated on the date shown above. We review this statement — and re-test the website against WCAG 2.2 AA — at least annually and after any significant redesign or feature addition.
